This was the big one! 50 years and still looking good. We've been talking about it for the last 5 years and we really pulled it off. An amazing turnout with 3 days of class activities.
Thursday, June 1, The Golf Day and Dinner
The turnout for golf was a record, with 17 guys and 4 gals tackling the famed Lakeview Golf Course in Mississauga, just west of the GTA. Does anyone remember that this was the home course for the Canadian Open in 1923 and 1934? No wonder it gave us so much trouble. This year saw the return of David-Jose Peryer, alumnus of 6T7 Mining Engineering and donor of the class trophy. Who would have thought that the trophy he brought us in 1998 would stand the test of time and now have two extensions added to the base, just like the Stanley Cup!

Friday, June 2, The Class Reception & Dinner
The Friday festivities began with another edition of "Cocktails at the Jeffrey's". Once again Wayne and Christine did a wonderful job of opening up their home and back yard for the class. They even performed the nearly impossible task (this year) of ordering up a beautiful sunny day! We followed that up with a walk to CIBO Wine Bar on Yonge Street for the main event.

Saturday, June 3, The Golf Day and Dinner
Saturday evening was the formal part of the 50th anniversary reunion program. We went downtown to the Hyatt Regency where there were 50 year pin presentations, followed by a great dinner. Entertainment was provided by the Lady Godiva Memorial Band, and even the Cannon made an appearance.
