We reinstated the lunch that we've held many years leading up to Christmas, now called the Winter Luncheon. It was held at Jack Astor's as usual. But that place is probably off our list for the future. They don't serve fish 'n chips any more! As you can see, a good time was had by all which is surprising considering how little alcohol was ordered!

The word of the day was "enshitification". Go ahead, look it up! It was derived in response to how shitty many online services have become, but it can be applied to many aspects of our daily living, not the least of which was the dining experience at Jack Astor's!

It's not too long until our 60th anniversary. For the arithmetically challenged, that will be June 4, 2027. Better put this one in your social calendar now, so that you can't tell me you forgot. This just might be your last, so make sure you get there.
