Friday June 2, 2017 - Class Reception & Dinner

The Friday festivities began with another edition of "Cocktails at the Jeffrey's". Once again Wayne and Christine did a wonderful job of opening up their home and back yard for the class. They even performed the nearly impossible task (this year) of ordering up a beautiful sunny day! The pictures below were all taken in their back yard. Just put your mouse over or touch a thumbnail to see a larger version of the picture.

At the end of the reception we did the traditional class photo. The first one is just the actual class members, the second is for spouses and friends, and the third is everyone at the reception.

Just for fun, we pulled individual images from our graduation picture and blew them up. When we arrived at the restaurant we did a series of "Then and Now" pictures. It's pretty scary--here are the results.

The Class Dinner was at CIBO Wine Bar at 2472 Yonge Street (near Wayne's place). It was a nice night so we could stumble over and leave our cars where we parked them. The dinner was in a banquet room in the basement. Good thing that we picked CIBO because our attendance was a lot more than initial estimates, and their room was perfect for us. Here are the tables.

And then there were the speeches ...

Doug Stephens comments on health, friendship and the class and then he says grace at the start of the dinner.

Les Segal acts as master of ceremonies, introducing the quiz and then turning it over to Janez.

Janez Kocmur thanks all of those who helped organize the reunion and he comments on his career and the changes he experienced.

More questions, more jokes, and some thank yous.

Bill Burns anecdote about his textbook.

Jim Allen with thank yous and a Friday wrap up.
