July 3, 2012 - The Rain Date Sandbagged by Lynch. Who would have expected it? But Pullam was sucked in by all the whining, pissing and moaning about how badly he's played this spring. He claimed to have only broken 90 twice in the last 3 months and Pullam believed it! So in the spirit of trust, we aquiesced and gave him that higher handicap he claimed he'd earned and he sandbagged us, shooting a sizzling 82 at Sleepy Hollow. Low enough to grab the low gross as well as the coveted low net, entitling him to the class trophy for 2012. Next year we'll only believe GAO-sanctioned handicaps that have been posted online. Time to reach into that piggy bank and spend the $28.50 to become a GAO public player. Hey Dave, if Stephens will do it, what's holding you back? Otherwise your cap will be down around +2 for next year's contest. Long drive went to Pullam who hammered a blistering drive down the centre of Sleepy's challenging 9th hole. It was a good thing that neither Stephens or Gup showed up or this one was at risk. Closest to the hole went to Adare for one of the few drives that made it to the 15th green. (This you will remember is the hole that Les claimed to have hit a hole-in-one on.) In the spirit of gender neutrality, Les went against convention and had his group tee off from the reds (a.k.a. the women's tees). Are you trying to tell us something Les ... are you finally coming out? This of course gave them an unfair advantage over those using the more manly tees. Following the GAO's rules we had to add 2 to each of their net scores to reflect that unfair advantage. Here's the data:
