June 3, 2005 - Oh no, not again !!! After last year's contested result, we didn't need more controversy! Ted Swain showed up with a gross 98 (net 62), 8 strokes lower than the best he has ever recorded, and galloped away with the trophy for the second consecutive year. Galloped may be a bit of an overstatement, as Ted didn't remember to bring the trophy and he thinks he may have sold it in a garage sale. Suddenly that 36 handicap that he was given based on his usual substandard golf has come back to bite the boys. Pictured here is how everyone feels about Ted moseying out of town with their money. Other accomplishments were Gup's sparkling low gross of 83, Stephens fabulous close to the pin, and Baldwin's awesome long drive. This year's event was held at Parkview Golf Course, which probably accounts for the better scores. This sucker has a slope of only 116 from the whites, but the lousy condition of many of the greens made up for it. Can you say "4 putt"? Bagel received the award for best foot fettish. Check out the latest styles in golf socks below. By popular demand we allowed a foursome of ladies to join our event again this year. Hey if they can put up with us, what's the matter with the rest of you? Thanks again to Fraz for taking "most honest golfer". And no, we still don't pay for that one, but the way the scores are trending, you should be in the money by 2018. Lynch is still recovering from his heart surgery, but figures to be back on the course in August. Sobieniak continues on the IE6T7 World Golf Tour scoping out future sites for our annual event (shown below in Afghanistan testing out all the local courses and entertainment). Hey Janusz, I hear they have some interesting tourism "formats" over there in Asia!
