University of Toronto Industrial Engineering Class of 6T7

June 6, 2003 - Sleepy Hollow

The day couldn't have been better. After the ugliest winter and spring in recent Toronto memory, we lucked out and had an awesome golf day that allowed us no excuses for the lousy numbers. Bagel introduced us to his course, and we really enjoyed the scenery.

Fenwick & friendWhat would you say about a guy who had a hole in one and didn't even buy the obligatory round of drinks? A guy who stood up to the relentless pressure of his lifelong friends and just gave them the finger? Bad sport? Cheapskate? Meanie?

Best story of the day was the phone call from Biro on Pullam's cell phone on the 5th hole. Seems he was looking for Jim Allen and didn't know that this was the golf day ... George, what are you still smoking? George asked the writer to let his classmates know that he is looking for some mortgage money, so if you happen to have some spare cash lying around and want to give ING some competition, give George a call.

And speaking of George, the Biro award for fine dress on a golf course went to John Lugsdin this year for his matching golf hat and shoes. See snap below ...

This year's overall winner and new trophy holder was Jim Allen with a net 69. The low gross went to Stephens (again) with an 88. (That new job must be taking its toll on your golf time, Doug.) Lynch had the long drive, Adare was close to the hole, and Fenwick had a hole-in-one.
